Kor'kron! I'm challenging you, yes you, to an art contest! I know we have quite a few artists in the guild, and a good deal of them are really good!
Recently, during the Pre-Cataclysm Blizzard art/video competition and even during Cataclysm itself, it's dawned on me that, in general, a suprising amount of things in-game resemble World War II style ideals. I know I've seen at least five different people claim that the new Orgrimmar banners look alot like the old Nazi banners, and Bilgewater Harbor's recruitment posters are Uncle Sam! So, the idea has occured to me that I want to do an art contest. The winner will get a very good reward from both the guild bank and my own pocket, as well as just some OOC praise!
So far, here are the 'rules' and the restrictions, ect:
Propaganda Contest!
-Your submission must be placed as a response to this post
-Your submission must be either a Propaganda Poster (World War 2 style) or an older 'newspaper' that says something about the Kor'kron/the Horde during Cataclysm.
-Submissions must be, at least loosely, around the topics of: The current Horde vs Alliance War, trashing enemy leaders, war bonds of some sort, saving materials for the Horde army, joining a factory to produce for the Horde, or trying to get others to join the navy, 'air force', or army.
-NO UNCLE SAM ONES. These are overdone as it is, so avoid them unless you can do something that's really awesome!
-If your submission is a 'newspaper' page, then it has to have a few pictures and alot of text, so it's almost like writing a story for it.
-Since this is a propaganda contest, all entries must have a few words in it. (Example: Loose lips, sink ships.)
-You must send Salrik an OOC mail in-game, or reserve a spot here to sign up for it! It's free to enter.
Have fun with it! I kinda want more then a few to enter, so by all means go for it! It doesn't even have to be the best out there, it just has to be creative and make sense! Look up propaganda posters on google for ideas even, but have fun!
