Hello everyone, this will be the first of hopefully many weekly vault reports. With these, you’ll be able to see what we need to do to remain financially strong as a guild, and also see what is wanted or lacking in our current supplies. No one is forcing anyone to pay a tithe or anything, don’t worry, this is just for quick reference of materials and such.
I am Mundle, your Kor'kron Quartermaster, and this is my report for 2/22/2011 on our Vault Status.
Tab 1: Consumables – We’ve got tons and tons of food you guys. I’d like all of you to take a stack! Don’t be shy! I know lots of you provide for yourselves via fishing and whatnot, but indulge! Grab something appropriate for your class and build, so you have extra noms! To the alchemists, we’re really missing out on those nice potions you guys. We have a few random pots and a stray flask or two, but nothing substantial. As hard of a time as healers are having with mana as of late, some high end mana potions would be apprieciated!
Tab 2: Cloth and Leather – Our Embersilk is getting snapped up like crazy, only to be replaced with Netherweave cloth and Frostweave cloth. It’s not a bad idea to have a good variety, but those of you taking the Embersilk seem to be cleaning ALL of it out for your own purposes. Curve it a little, would you!? Some of your fellow guildies might like some cata-grade cloth! Jeez! As far as leather goes, well, we have none that is Cata-grade. Zero. If someone asked me “what’s the name of the type of leather found in Cataclysm content?” I wouldn’t be able to answer them. We have a few of this kind, and a few of that kind, but nothing substantial. Not even enough to organize. I am very tempted to PURGE the leather that we have so that we can start fresh. If that’s just crappy leather no one’s using, and no one’s donating any, why keep it at all?
Tab 3: Herbs and Ore – We have an interesting predicament when it comes to ore and metals. I would like to have one stack of each metal in the game at the ready, both in ore form and in bar form. Or, in just bar form when it comes to things like arcanite and bronze. We have a smattering of many metals, but nothing really amazing right now. Cataclysm metal gets snatched up FAST, and the people that take it are not putting any back in, which makes me angry. None will be left if you guys take it all, because I’m not a bottomless well! Now, herbs. Herbs are pretty… pathetic, right now, to be honest. We have 90% classic content herbs, and several stacks of what we do have therof. Not much much BC herbs, LK herbs, or Cata herbs at all.
Tab 4: Gems and Shards – Gems is looking fairly healthy right now. We have a good supply of classic content and BC gems, a few LK gems, and a few Cataclysm gems. Yes, if you heard the rumor, this tab was recently robbed, but the person was tracked down by yours truly and the Generals are dealing with him. No big deal. Enchanting supplies we have a TON of. I have taken to keeping one stack of each type of enchanting material that is low end, so we have room for the high end stuff. That’s right, ROOM. We have SO much enchanting dust and shards and such, its flooding the 4th tab. I will be purging some of it in the near future and selling it for money. All of which will be given to the bank, of course. That’s my job as the quartermaster. I would only ask that more Cataclysm-grade stuff show up in that tab, for we have next to none. All in all, this tab is good.
Tab 5: Misc – Misc is misc, and sort of the random junk tab. I can’t really comment on it, since, by nature, its undefinable.
Tab 6: Elemental and Epics – This tab is fairly healthy, with little samples of just about everything we need, again, save Cataclysm-grade elemental stuff. I’ve put plenty of Volatiles in this tab and they get SNATCHED UP like they’re made of solid gold. The people that take them, and they are a specific few, take ALL THEY CAN, often cleaning out anything that I or others have saved up. Greedy bastards. If you are reading this, DO NOT DONATE your Cataclysm-grade elemental stuff. It WILL disappear overnight while your fellow Kor’kron greedily power-level their professions. Just warning you. No Volatile stays in the vault for more than a day or so, and its the same handfull of people taking them all.
Tab 7: Armory – This tab filled up fast when a local blacksmith of ours made a TON of the same easy to make items, power-leveling his profession. Thanks to one of our enchanters much of the extra was sharded, but its still a VERY full tab with little room for more. I am slowly filtering out the green items, keeping the blue and purple ones. Green items are very easy to get, and I don’t imagine anyone searching the guild vault for one. No complaints here, we have a nice selection of blues and a few lower level purples for people to pick from. Don’t be shy about taking stuff, if you’re leveling a Kor’kron alt or something. We have plenty.
Conclusion:So, main points. We need Cataclysm metals, ores, herbs, gems, leathers and potions. We have excessive enchanting materials, food, armor, and weapons. DO NOT donate your Volatiles to the vault, for they disappear overnight when the greedier among us snatch them ALL up without regard for others.
If you would rather donate monies, that's fine too. Recently we bought the 7th vault tab and I may be able to talk to Ruvok about a repair fund for everyone to enjoy. We'll see.
